Well we went camping last week and had a lot of fun. We went to Sedona and stayed at the Cave Creek Campground which was beautiful. Sam loved it and was as dirty as he could be. Aunt Bobbi gave us a very large tent to use and it was much nicer than the two man tent we had before. Thanks Aunt Bobbi!
The second morning we were there it really poured which is difficult with a 14 month old who really can’t be put down. We decided to test the day to see if things would dry out. It rained on and off in that “monsoony” kind of way. We went for a hike with Sam on Jeff’s back. At one point we stopped and hung out under some of the red rocks because it was raining so hard. It was a nice hike and Sam fell asleep on the way back.
We decided to head out that evening at about 6pm and that worked out well because it continued to pour on and off and Sam slept on the ride home. All in all it was a successful trip. We are learning a little bit more each time about what we need to bring and what we can leave behind. Especially with a little one. Someday we’ll be expert campers!
I did take pictures and I also have a little video of Samuel walking but since we got back, I CAN’T FIND THE CAMERA!
I’ll keep looking!
In the mean time, take care friends and family.
