Hello friends and family, it’s been quite awhile since my last post. I actually have some video from Christmas but it’s still sitting on the video camera. I’ll try to get to it by the end of this month.
In the meantime…..we are doing very well. Jeff and I just had our 6th anniversary and it was a really fun day. We went on an adventure/hike in the White Tank mountains while my mom took care of Sam. Then we picked him up and came home. After Samuel’s bedtime we made a nice dinner to eat outside near a warm fire.
Sam is doing great! He is a lot of fun. His vocabulary is increasing daily and he can mimic most words. He eats very well and is learning to use a fork and spoon, but it’s really hard to watch sometimes because it’s quite difficult for him at this point.
He loves to “read” books on his own and have books read to him. I think we need to get some new books, I’m getting pretty tired of “The Very Hungry Caterpillar.” He is still doing great with naps and bedtime…and actually says “bye” when we leave his room at night.
We are going to begin potty training pretty soon. I think he is ready but wish us luck! We are going to start by using a three day method of no pants or underwear! This is just meant to give them a good start and really reinforce it, working on just potty training for three days…no other plans and probably no outings. Jeff and I will probably need to take turns getting out of the house. I am dreading it a little but I think if we just go ahead and do it…it will work out. 🙂
Below are some more recent pictures to hold you over until I get to that video. I don’t know why the titles on these pics are off…but you get the gist of it.
